W is also for...Weight loss

Hey all, I just wanted to post a short update on my weight loss.  It has been a challenge to keep my calories below 1500 and to get up and get moving.  I was doing great in the moving department for quite awhile, but as you know I have been sick for about 3 weeks, so that has put a damper on that.

I have been keeping track of my calories through a great website here that allows you to track your calories, weight and activity.  It also has a place for you to blog or journal about your journey, as well as meet others in your situation depending on your age, weight loss or medical needs.  It has been nice to be able to go and see how I am doing throughout the day, or week.  I can also look back and see my trends on a scale chart. This website has it all, so far I cannot complain, it's also....free!

I have Bronchitis so I am not getting in any exercise, but I am watching what I eat and how much I eat and today I am at 20lbs down, 40 to go.  The excitement is palpable, I'm just sayin'.  So there is your update from me, I have appreciated all the kudos and concern for my health, I am getting a bit better in regards to the Bronchitis, but have a ways to go.  Perhaps next week I can start up my exercise again, yay...for bike rides!  I miss my new beach cruiser...her name is Dory because she is blue and yellow like on Finding Nemo...I know it's silly, but she is just a cutie patootie!

Good job with the weight loss program. I've been trying to walk every weekday for 45-60 minutes and it seems like I've cut calories, but my weight seems to just hold steady. As long as I not gaining!

That is fantastic! Weight loss is extremely hard. One year I lost 30lbs. It was a little much, but then I let go and gain it all back. Trying to get started again is a challenge. Thanks for the website!

Keep at it, I got to my idea weight 3 yrs ago while I lived in Spain but since moving back to the UK the pounds have piled back on.
I follow the PaulMcKenna regime, I excercise as much as I can but the pounds are hard to shift.#
But am positive I'll get there,

Hope you continue to lose your weight.
Yvonne.

i'm coming from the other direction and trying to get my weight up. some folks with "good intentions" have been telling me that one my kids (Sophie) is overweight. these folks are insulting her. they look at her as being just a dog. now i know she's gonna have to go on a diet eventually. the problem is i have two kids and Rocky ISN'T overweight......yet! so i figure i'll fatten up Rocky a bit and then they can BOTH go on a diet together.

You've done well, Shannon!riding Nemo along a beach sounds fantastic!

I give you props Shannon -- 20 pounds is excellent! I'm working on losing some myself, but so far, nada. :) Just like you, I'll get there though!

Have a great day!

You rock and are an inspiration! What website are you using? I didn't see the name of it in your article. My old eyes could have missed it though. :)

Sounds great Shannon! I am glad you're able to achieve your set goal step by step. I am also working towards it but trust me it is so so hard to get off the fat that I've collected in these years. It's a struggle! Hope I am able to achieve my target weight this year:)

Sorry you are feeling badly. But sometimes that is the only time I can lose weight- When I'm sick in bed with no appetite! Good luck on the diet. Mine sucks.
