I find I feel best eating the Zone way...Hi Shannon,<br />I find I feel best eating the Zone way of eating. I do want to remind you, that soy should only be consumed in small doses. It interacts with the thyroid meds. I causes them not to be as effective.<br />Soy is in everything, bread, crackers, cookies, candy, pbutter,<br />some soft drink products, etc.<br />I am allergic to soy; I get hives and<br />anxiety. I know when I have had too much! I am amazed how little Dr's tell their patients about soy and the thyroid. Maybe they don't know. I have found out the hard way. You can't take a calcium supplement in the morning or drink orange juice w/calcium, it interacts with thyroid meds. Take your muti-vitamin mid day, iron, reacts with your meds. You can have small doses of soy, but not in the morning, your meds need to be absorbed. You need to wait, one hour after you take thyroid meds for them to be the most effective. You can only have water!!! There is soybean oil in almost all chips, anything processed. I think there will be more thyroid disease in the future. We have got overboard with it. If you eat fast food, they put it in your burgers as a filler.
