A is for...Adirondack Chair.

(Thank you Bing images) I would love to have an Adirondack chair to sit in. I would sit quietly and enjoy the peace and tranquility that the sea brings.  Even now in my rather uncomfortable desk chair, I can imagine sitting somewhere with a glass of sweet tea, of course...my Kindle Fire, a blanket and the sea. Then I can imagine maybe getting an idea or two for my book or blog...or maybe even just whisper a prayer and send it heavenward.

For some strange reason I have always thought that an Adirondack chair says rest and relaxation is soon to be yours.  Don't you agree? When I look at one I just want to plop down and take some time out from this crazy high speed roller coaster we call life.  You know you want to put the laundry on hold, dishes too...and let the family eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (I'm assuming everyone's old enough to fix that themselves) and just push pause for awhile and unwind, and listen to some soothing music while you lay your head back and...just...take...a...breath...

Someday...

I believe in the sun even when it is not shining. I believe in love even when I feel it not. I believe in God even when He is silent. *Written on a wall in a concentration camp*

LOVE that picture! I have the chairs ... but not the sea! It isn't quite the same in my urban jungle but they're still pretty comfy!

We see those on the beaches of NC all the time.

I love the idea of having a special chair or even special place to call your own. I think that if I had a few hours a day to devote to writing I would have more than a few pages of my book written. I look forward to your other posts for this challenge.

Yes, yes, yes. I want to be in that picture. Perfect place to contemplate it all! I see them at Home Depot all the time and it always makes me long for the beach. Great post!

Yup; time to push pause and relax a bit. Especially in a big chair like that.

The part of me that says "You currently live in SoCal" says those chairs are something we'd never use.

The part of me that says "You're from Ohio" says the idea of sitting in an Adirondack chair with a cup of hot tea, wrapped in a blanket and watching the sun rise is a slice of heaven on earth.

I think I'll listen to the Ohio side today!

I need to sit in a chair like that in a place like that for a little while. Maybe take a nap.
