K is for...Kids

I have four children. G is the Oldest at 16. He plays guitar, has long hair and thinks he knows a thing or two. I love him for who he is now, not what he hopes he will become. We haven’t been seeing eye to eye lately, and this reminds me that he is growing up and away from me toward independence and self sufficiency. I hate it, but at the same time I love it.

Ja is age 14 and loves to wrestle, watch UFC, and ride bikes. He is my miracle child; we both almost lost our lives when he was trying to come into this world. He has very broad shoulders and got stuck, when they finally got him out, he was grey and not breathing, I was losing a lot of blood and fading fast. The doctors eventually got him breathing but his first pictures are of a blue and angry baby with very broad shoulders. I was okay as well, just weak from so much blood loss.

Je is 13 and growing up fast. He is the short one in our family and he likes to think of himself as a Ninja. I would describe Je as what a hug feels like; he is a sweetie pie, and the best one to take with me when I do the grocery shopping. I can always count on a hug and or a kiss from this one.

M is my 9 yr old daughter and lucky sister to all these boys above. She is a beautiful and loving girl, and my baby. She is growing up too fast for my taste, but there is nothing I can do but sit back and watch…oh I guide her and all that, but as far as growing goes, it’s out of my hands and into God’s. M loves her mama a lot and rarely likes to leave my side, except for the occasional sleep over at her friend’s house.

All my kids are being raised in a godly manner by my hubby and me. We know that God has a perfect plan for all their lives, and we are blessed to have been loaned these 4 beautiful children of ours. Proverbs 22:6 says…Train [a] a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not turn from it. This is exactly what my hubby and I are doing.

Have a great day and head on over to tossing it out to see some other wonderful blogs. May God’s face shine upon you today and beyond.

Great run down on your kids. It was great to learn a bit about them for me - since I knew you since you were Molly's age. It will good to see you again and see you in your kids.

Glad the Lord chose to spare you and your son!

didn't tell you this before, but my daughter(previous marriage) is also named Shannon. She has four children-3 boys(one super stocky) and one girl. Kaylee is just like her mom though. part beautiful/sweet and part monster when she wanted to be. especially when she was 13 going on 21:)

Hi,
great posting on your children. Isn't it wonderful how each child is different with own personalities and likes and dislikes? Good for you and your husband raising then the way you are!
Best regards,
Ruby

What a wonderful way to share your kiddie winks with us! And that verse rings true. My brothers and I were raised in a split home, atheist dad, Christian mom. In the end, we all 3 went the way mom raised us. And I thank God for her everyday.

You and your Hubby are a true blessing to those kids. Keep up the good work :-)

Your family is the same size as mine. I have 3 older brothers and I am the only girls. Mind you there is a bigger age gap in my family.
